Billu Barber is being directed by Priyadarshan and stars Irfan Khan along with SRK in a special role. From the name of it and given Priyan’s presence, I feel this too is a remake of a 2007 Malayalam blockbuster titled katha parayumbol. This film is about two friends, one of whom is a barber and the other a super star in the film industry with a message about friendship.The Malayalam version is already being remade in Tamil and Telugu as Kuselan/Kathanayakudu and has Tamil Super Star Rajnikanth headlining the project. In all probability, Irfan Khan is the barber and SRK the super star. The SRK role is around 30-40 minutes.If this is true, then it is interesting that Priyan made a declaration that Mere Baap Pehle Aap will be his last Malayalam remake. Interestinly, quite a few top heroines have turned down this project including Amisha Patel and Tabu.
