Ajith dual role in Asal movie
Asal will have Ajith donning a dual role yet again for director Saran after Attagasam. The film is being produced by Sivaji Productions. While Ajith is hatting the new role, news about his characterization, storyline and the like spreads like wildfire. The latest buzz in Kollywood is the storyline of Asal. If reports from Kollywood are to be believed, the story goes like this: Ajith is a don who has international dealings. All those involved in these dealing are murdered mysteriously when they are not conducive to the deal. To track down the culprit comes in another Ajith. We don’t known yet if he is a detective, a police officer or a person seeking vengeance for his beloved. Sources also reveal that the twist in the tale as to who the real Ajith (Asal) is forms the climax.
Sameera Reddy is touted to play one of the two heroines though this has not been confirmed yet. The team is scouting for another heroine.
Sultan-The Warrior movie Budget is 60 crore rupees!
Superstar Rajinikanth will be soon be seen in an animated film thanks to his multi-talented daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth. The film is being made under the banner of Soundarya’s Ocher Studios and the movie is rumored to have hi-end animation. The best part is the central character of the film Sultan who is an exact depiction of Rajini.
We all know that each shot in the film is actually shot with the superstar first and then the animation specialists work on it to bring a very satisfying natural look. Reports indicate that so much of money has gone into the making of ‘Sultan-The Warrior’, as much a grand 60 crore rupees!
Never imagined that animation films would be so costly. The film has another high light in the sense it is a multilingual film and is being made in eighteen languages. This is a new record that is being made by the superstar’s super daughter. Grapevine also has it that Vijayalakshmi will be lending her personality to this animated movie as the superstar’s heroine.
Yash Raj films next venture New York
The movie is expected to hit theaters in early 2009. After Anurag Kashyap’s No Smoking and Kukhnoor’s Aashaayein, he has taken up New York, which again like Khan’s Kabul Express is based on terrorism and its various ramifications. Monica Bhattacharjee , spokeswomen for YRF has not confirmed even the title, suggesting it is a tentative one. John Abraham has already become a brand in this country with the latest line of accessories that he has flashed under his name.
Yash Raj films would produce the movie. Now few years ago this would have been a success mantra in itself but these are tough times for Yash Raj flicks and they are going through a series of misses, may be interspersed with an odd hit. Kabir Khan, the guy who is attributed to the semi-success of Kabul, will take direction mantle express. The film also has the self- assured but unassuming Neil Nitin Mukesh. Yash Raj films have been known to keep their venture in complete wraps till the postproduction stages. Keeping in line with the trend, they have not revealed much.
